The monograph is dedicated to the peculiarities of legal regulation of migration activities. A retrospective analysis of the category 'migration activities' has been conducted based on the study of pre-revolutionary and Soviet experience, as well as the experience of several foreign countries. The legal nature of migration activities, its content, and structural elements are highlighted. Specific issues in the field of institutional and legal support of migration activities are also discussed, including problems of delineating powers between authorities responsible for migration activities. In the current Russian reality, the adoption of a uniform, universal legal model of migration activities is necessary. Intended for cadets, students, adjuncts, postgraduates, applicants engaged in research in these areas, as well as for teachers and researchers at universities.
