Midrash Slave is the most important anthology of Jewish interpretations to the Pentateuch, as well as to five scrolls. Ten independent works, including the numerous interpretations of Scripture by Talmudic sages and their followers, were selected by a medieval publisher from numerous works of Talmudic literature and became a kind of canon of traditional Jewish bookkeeping. Esther Slave and Rut Slave are the first of Midras to five scrolls (these also include Miders to the biblical books of the width ѓa -shimim, Aich and the Koelet) These works were extremely popular already in the Middle Ages, in our time almost every Jewish author writes to them, writing or discussing the corresponding books of Scripture. Earlier, within the framework of the library of Jewish texts, the Russian translation of the first and most ancient of the books included in the collection of Midrash Slave was seen: it takes a slave, as well as Midrash to five scrolls - Esther Slave, Rut Rabe, a width of ѓa -shimit slave. Prior to this, not one of the works included in the meeting of Midrash Slave was translated into Russian
