The release is opened by articles on the history of the authorities and society in the early new time. In the heading "Reformation and Power", we are talking about the problems of the Reformation in Germany and England, in the section "Visualization of power", a study of the new language of power, revealed during the meeting of the kings of Henry VIII and Francis I on the field of golden brocade, special articles are devoted to municipal authorities in Spain and France. The publication continues to acquaint with new areas in mediastism: this issue is about the work of the seminar "Russia, Muscovy, Russia in the certificates of foreigners" at the Institute of General History, as well as about foreign sources and notes of foreigners about Russia. Much attention is paid to the history and the current state of domestic and foreign mediastics: research on the education system in pre -revolutionary Russia, on disputes in England around the figure of F. W. Meitland, about the latest French publications dedicated to Jeanne d"Arc. On the pages of the publication, a scientific discussion caused by the publication of the first volume of the "History of Spain" is presented. As always, the issue contains a scientific chronicle and reviews of domestic and foreign publications on the history of the Middle Ages and the early New Age.
