The release opens with a new section "Theory and Methodology of History", designed to look differently at the craft of a historian or offer new approaches to the fundamental problems of historical science. The heading "Holiness in the Middle Ages" continues to publish research on various aspects of the religious history of the Middle Ages. The central place in the issue has been reserved for the traditional section "neighboring regions, related disciplines" dedicated to medieval archeology this time. The section contains a variety of materials: reviews of the current state of archeology of the Middle Ages in Spain, Great Britain and Russia, as well as an analysis of specific surveys, discoveries or approaches of Russian, Italian and English archaeologists. As always, reviews of the latest publications on the history of the Middle Ages occupy a large place.
