The book of the Roman Professor-Historian FR.GVIDA, a specialist in the history of Central and Eastern Europe, is the first full biography of Michelangelo Pinto. With its creation, numerous archival materials were used, many of which were previously inaccessible. This made it possible to convincingly illuminate the long life path and multifaceted activities M. Pinto. He appears as a prominent member of the national liberation movement in Italy, the writer and diplomat. His relationships with some major representatives of Russian culture and the role of Pinto as an active popularizer of Italian culture in Russia, where he spent more than a quarter of a century, fulfilling the duties of the teacher of the St. Petersburg University.
