Cosmic cardiology as an important section of space medicine is a constant source of innovation that are important not only for space, but also for earthly medicine and physiology. This innovative role of cosmic cardiology can be traced from the first manned space flights, when the methods of analyzing variability of heart rhythm were first introduced to practice, to today"s flights to the ISS, which actively uses such unique methods as spatial ballisticocardiography and a probabilistic assessment of risk of deadaptation and health disorders. In the proposed collective monograph “Methods and devices of space cardiology on board the International Space Station (ISS)”, the results of the development of this new scientific and practical direction over the past 15 years are presented. The works performed by the Institute of Medical and Biological Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences are summarized with LLC Medical Computer Systems LLC. The devices installed on board the ISS and the scientific results obtained with their help are described. In conclusion, the organization’s prospects are considered in new space experiments aboard the ISS.
