Fundamental labor on the theory and methodology of historical knowledge belongs to Peru of an outstanding domestic historian, a philosopher and society, the founder of the history methodology. Its basis is the doctrine of the historical source, in which the emphasis is on the definition and study of the role of human psyche when creating historical works. At the same time, the author justifies the requirement to recreate the source in the cultural and historical context of the relevant era, in fact its reconstruction, which should be carried out according to a specific methodology.
In the first part of the book, the author gives a detailed analysis of what should be understood under the theory of historical knowledge. The second part is devoted to the actual methodology of historical study, in which the main source concepts, the classification of sources, as well as the problems of their interpretation and criticism are considered.
The book is addressed to students and teachers of humanitarian universities, historians, sociologists and philosophers, as well as all readers interested in the problems of historical knowledge
