In the study manual, the general principles of constructing calculations of the carrying metal structures of machines for strength, rigidity, stability, fatigue resistance and fragile destruction are considered. Methods for calculating and designing the main types of structures and their elements are given. The technology of applying the method of finite elements for calculating structures is considered. The most difficult issues are given an automated calculation algorithms in the MathCAD environment.
