The final book of the trilogy about Orestes, his sister Electra, their neighbor and classmate Malin, and the missing high school senior Mesina. Hunting for the astrolabe and falling into a coma, Eiger - Electra's father and leader of a secret society - suddenly disappears from the hospital. Mesina comes to Malin to make a secret deal. The girls connect two parchment fragments and learn that another, third part is needed for the astrolabe to work. Orestes hacks encrypted emails, gains access to the secret correspondence between Eiger and the Society of Witnesses of the Strange, and is now aware of their every move. Ciphers and secret codes, Morse code and a voice on a phonograph, clues on a rock above the river and in an old mansion - all of this helps Orestes and Malin move forward. But can Mesina be trusted? How far can Eiger go in his quest to obtain the astrolabe? And will Malin be able to save Orestes and Electra on the fateful day - April 30th? Maria Engstrand, who came up with the trilogy about Swedish schoolchildren solving mysteries of the past in their hometown of Lerum, initially worked as an engineer and lawyer. But she always loved to create stories. Over time, her hobby turned into a profession. The writer hopes that her books help teenagers see the world as fascinating as it truly is. Artist Polina (Dr. Graf) Noskova created slightly mysterious images of the main characters on the cover, reflecting the enigmatic and tense atmosphere of the trilogy.
