The development of economic science and business practice in recent decades has brought the problems of mesoeconomics to the forefront of economists' attention - the sphere located between macro- and microeconomic levels, encompassing regions, industries, socio-economic ecosystems, and complexes.
The Central Economics and Mathematics Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (CEMI RAS) was among the first researchers of mesoeconomics in Russia. The team of CEMI RAS researchers prepared and published a monograph in 2001 titled "Mesoeconomics of the Transition Period - Markets, Industries, Enterprises," and in 2011, a monograph titled "Mesoeconomics of Development." The book "Mesoeconomics of Russia - Strategy of Divergence" presents the results of the latest research by CEMI RAS researchers, covering theoretical and applied issues related to the current state and future development prospects of mesoeconomics in Russia.
The book reflects the peculiarities of the current period in the development of mesoeconomics in Russia, associated with overcoming the consequences of the epidemic crisis and preparing the country for a new stage of innovative development based on advanced socio-economic and information-communication digital technologies.
