Candidate of Philosophy, teacher at the Moscow Spiritual Academy, Hieromonk Simeon (Mazaev) wrote the book "Men's Philosophy" for students of spiritual schools - those few people among our contemporaries whom church canons prescribe to marry only once. This circumstance compels a person to take marriage seriously and to choose the one and only companion for life's journey. In order for this choice to be possible and for the marriage to take place, a young man, first and foremost, needs to have a serious attitude towards himself.
Can one learn masculinity? What is masculine attractiveness based on? What are women willing to forgive men for? These are just a few of the questions that the author addresses in the book. The new millennium increasingly demands less physical labor from men, professional soldiers are more often involved in wars, and not all young men join the army. But this does not mean that masculinity is less in demand today. On the contrary, acknowledging the crisis of masculinity that has occurred on the European continent, women, perhaps more than ever before, need real men. That is why this book will be of interest not only to future clergy, but also to anyone who would like to understand the secret of masculinity. After all, it is impossible to learn or teach courage without undergoing certain philosophical and human work on oneself.
