God did not create man and woman just for the sake of it. Created for each other and different, man and woman are not interchangeable - they are designed in such a way as to fulfill God's purpose. But if the presence of God's plan is ignored or misunderstood, catastrophic consequences will follow.

I have always wanted a small book to be placed on the shelf there, which would explain the biblical teaching about men and women in the church in such a way that an interested non-church person could read it in a few hours. I wanted to write a book that defends a clear position, but does not provoke disputes, a book that could be given to other pastors who have encountered this problem, a book that pastors could give to their elders, deacons, and caretakers with confidence that they would be able to handle it, a book with comprehensive exegesis without church jargon, a book thicker than a brochure but thinner than a brick-like book. Whether I succeeded in writing such a book is for you to decide. At least, I planned to do so. ... So what is this book about? In simple terms, this book is about the intended complementarity of man and woman as applied to life in general and to ministry in the church in particular."
