Memories of participants in the Algerian War (1960-2000)

The Algerian People"s Democratic Republic (Andr) is one of the first African states with which the USSR has established military-political and military-technical cooperation. Starting from the 1960s, during the assistance of Algeria (demining the extended sections of the state border of the country, the supply of weapons and military equipment, training for the armed forces, etc) thousands of our fellow citizens visited the country: military advisers, specialists, translators . Their memories published in this edition is an important historical source to assess the scale of one of the important areas of bilateral cooperation, to create an idea of ​​some pages of the history of Algeria, about the conditions of service and life of the Soviet and Russian servicemen in this country, about the relations that have developed between our compatriots and Algerians. The collection contains documents and photos from the personal archives of the authors.
The book is designed both for researchers of Soviet and Russian-Algerian cooperation and for a wide range of readers.
