Memories of Emanon

1967. America sent half a million soldiers to the Vietnam War, the test launch of Apollo-1 resulted in the first casualties in the history of space exploration. On the movie screens, James Bond fought against the criminal organization SPECTRE, and The Beatles recorded the album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. A young Japanese student, who adores science fiction and has had his heart broken once again, returns home on a night ferry. Here he meets a mysterious girl named Emanon and immediately falls in love with her. They talk all night long about everything: pop music and jazz, movies and literary theory, hitchhiking and baseball. Emanon shares with him a secret known to no one else on the planet, and by morning, she disappears without a trace.
