Professor Konstanz University (Germany) I.P.Smirnov, author of monographs" artistic meaning and evolution of poetic systems" (1977), "Chimo Homini Philosophus ..." (1999) and others, in " Megaistoria "sums up with his long-term classes on the modeling of cultural dynamics. Under the "Megaistoria" Smirnov implies a change of such cultural ensembles as early Middle Ages, Renaissance, Baroque, etc. This diachronic process can be traced in Russian material up to the emergence of avant-garde culture of 1910-1930. The author"s claim is to formulate the rules of a coherent transition of the culture from its archaic forms on the metabasics of the logic and rhetoric for subsequent development stages. The book will be interesting to linguists, historians of culture, literary criticism, as well as all lovers of intellectual reading
