Evgeny Primakov, by the family of his activity, was one of the most secret people of the country. He began as a journalist, was the director of the Institute of World Economy and International Relations, who during the USSR prepared closed reports for the country"s leadership. At the fracture of the era from totalitarianism to democracy, he was “abandoned” by M. Gorbachev and B. Yeltsin to the foreign intelligence service, and then to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. As the prime minister, he was called upon to save the country after the 1998 default. Primakov missed everything stated in this book through the prism of personal perception, knowing in advance and not fearing that not everything said will be accepted by readers
