The book by the St. Petersburg Germanist A. I. Zherebin includes works from the last decade dedicated to issues of contemporary comparativistics and the interaction of German and Austrian literature with Russian culture. According to the author's idea, the studied facts represent various manifestations of the same form of cultural creativity - the creation of utopian images of an alternative reality opposed to social practice.
