The book describes 184 species of medicinal plants found in the Middle Urals and Western Siberia. Among them are both wild and cultivated. The first part gives a general review on the use of plants in scientific and folk medicine of different countries and times. Recipes for the preparation of infusions, decoctions and other drugs from the described plants are given, in some cases, warnings from their improper use are given.
