Medical parasitology: Textbook

The textbook discusses socially significant parasitic diseases, common in the territory of the Russian Federation, including rare and devastated. Diagnostic studies described in this textbook are not limited only to microscopy methods. Information is presented about modern immunological and molecular biological methods recommended in the Russian Federation to diagnose parasitic diseases. The textbook contains information on diagnostic methods recommended by the World Health Organization and the tropical and parasitic diseases of the world used in leading clinics. The author’s team participated in the development of a modern regulatory framework for the prevention of parasitic diseases in the Russian Federation. Research materials are used in the text of the textbook. The textbook is intended to study the general professional discipline OP.04 "Medical Parasitology" in accordance with the Federal State Educational Standard of the SPO in the specialty 31.02.03 "Laboratory diagnostics". The textbook will be useful to specialists of medical institutions that carry out laboratory diagnostics of parasitic diseases among the population of the Russian Federation
