Vitamin D and reproductive health of a woman

The leadership discusses the impact of vitamin D on the health of a woman of reproductive age and offspring. It is assumed that vitamin D serves as one of the regulators of the “female reproductive system. The low level of vitamin D is a factor in infertility, the negative outcome of auxiliary reproductive technologies. Features of vitamin D exchange in patients with endometriosis and polycystic ovary syndrome are discussed. Vitamin D is of particular significance for a woman during pregnancy and the postpartum period. A number of pregnancy complications are associated with a deficiency of vitamin D: non -infinition, the development of placental insufficiency, preeclampsia, disorders of the uterine contractile activity, and an increase in the risk of cesarean section. The deficiency of vitamin D during pregnancy also affects the adaptation of the newborn, its subsequent development and increase the incidence during life.
