The management is devoted to the installation and operation of venous access systems in the treatment of children with cancer and orphan diseases (mucopolysaccharidoses of various types and glycogenosis) and is designed for a wide range of readers - both pediatricians and oncologists. It describes in detail the state of assistance to children with oncological diseases, the features of the topographic anatomy of the venous system in patients of various ages, and a description of the technique of installing external central venous catheter and implantation of port systems is given. The publication is illustrated by photographs from the personal archive of the authors. Both the most frequent and rare complications arise in the process of installation and operation of various venous access systems, as well as their classification, are presented.
