Despite the fact that in recent years in hemodialysis technology, significant progress has been achieved, some problems associated with the creation and functioning of constant vascular access remain unresolved.
This manual presents the 20-year surgical experience of creating constant vascular access for hemodialysis, the problems and prospects of its functioning are analyzed. Different options for the formation of both native arteriovenous fistulas and fistulas using synthetic vascular prostheses are dismantled. The features of vascular access, the most common complications and ways of their prevention are considered.
The publication can be useful to vascular surgeons operating patients on hemodialysis, nephrologists, FDPO medical universities, dialysis centers, residences and graduate students who may encounter this problem in their clinical practice
