In a book based on long -term personal observations and data of literature, the author systematized the etiology, pathogenesis, classification, diagnosis, clinical manifestations, treatment of urogenital chlamydial and mycoplasmic infections. The developed new unique scheme for taking the oral form of azithromycin (Sumamed) in the treatment of patients with complicated forms of urogenital chlamydial infection is presented. This pulse therapy technique was patented, included in the instructions for Azithromycin (Sumamed) and in the regulatory document "Federal Guide for Doctors for the Use of Drugs" (Formular System) (M., 2001. II).
In the section on urogenital mycoplasma infection, recent studies on the genetic variability of mycoplasmes are presented, therapy schemes used in foreign and domestic recommendations are considered.
