The 3rd edition discusses all the basic issues of ultrasound diagnostics in gynecology, which a doctor in an outpatient practice and a gynecological hospital is faced with daily. Additions of the results of their own scientific research, as well as the experience of the leading laboratories of the world and our country have recently been made. Particular attention is paid to standardization issues when examining myometrium, endometrium and ovary based on the recommendations of groups of international experts. New chapters were written dedicated to the postpartum period in normal and at complications, ultrasound monitoring during an abortion of both drugs and by vacuum aspiration, as well as post-assemble and postoperative complications, including the problem of the scar on the uterus.
