The leadership is devoted to ultrasound diagnostics of the pathology of the parathyroid glands. From modern positions, the issues of etiology, pathogenesis, epidemiology and clinical picture of hyperparathyroidism are highlighted. Anatomy, histology and embryogenesis of the parathyroid glands are reflected. A comparative assessment of the possibilities of various methods of visualization for hyperparathyroidism is presented. The research methodology and the ultrasonic picture of the parathyroid glands are normally described in detail and in various pathological conditions. Particular attention is paid to the differential diagnosis of pathology of the parathyroid glands. The possibilities of the ultrasound method in evaluating the treatment of hyperparatyraosis are described. The management is based on the results of own research and analysis of the literature, expanding the existing ideas about the possibilities of the ultrasound method in assessing the state of the parathyroid glands.
