The book was written by leading specialists of the world ultrasound prenatal diagnosis. It is devoted to the urgent problem of the antenatal period - the early detection of anomalies of the development of the fetus using echography. The 1st part of the book discusses the issues of ultrasound physics and its bioffects, the technical characteristics of ultrasonic diagnostic methods, including voluminous technologies, are given. Particular attention is paid to the methodology of ultrasound examination of the anatomical structures of the fetus in the early stages of pregnancy, the role of echography when conducting screening for frequent chromosome syndromes, as well as multiple pregnancy.
