The monograph is devoted to the description of the morphometric and echographic characteristics of the digestive canal of dogs and cats with a transcuted ultrasound study. The metric indicators of the layers of the walls of various parts of the digestive canal are given. For the first time, the quantitative characteristic of the echogenicity of the layers of the wall of the stomach and small intestines in dogs and cats and their ratio and their ratio are described. The echogenicity of the layers of the wall of the thin intestine in dogs and cats on an empty stomach and in various temporary intervals of the postprandial period is characterized. The coefficient of echogenicity of the duodenum, skinny and ileum, which allows to conduct an objective assessment of the intestinal wall, is determined, taking into account the variability of the settings of various scanners. The echographic manifestation and localization of artifacts in dogs and cats when scanning the digestive canal in the gray scale mode: acoustic shadow, reverb, "tail of the comet", distal pseudo -acoustic reinforcement of the signal, in color Doppler mapping - artifact of movement - artifact of movement.
