The textbook is devoted to the urgent medical problem at the junction of several medical specialties - tuberculosis in pregnant women, including HIV -infected people. Briefly set out information about tuberculosis and physiological pregnancy. Modern international recommendations for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of tuberculosis in pregnant women, the prevention of tuberculosis and HIV in newborns are presented.
Information about the breast and artificial feeding of the baby in the presence of tuberculosis in the mother is summarized, the existing scientific data on congenital tuberculosis are given. A number of interesting clinical examples of the course and treatment of tuberculosis are considered during pregnancy and after the birth that the authors observed.
