The manual presents the basic epidemiological and clinical characteristics of urgent diseases related to "diseases of travelers". Particular attention is paid to the description of the clinical manifestations of infectious diseases imported to Russia, which, due to differences in climatic conditions and /or lack of carriers, are not found in most regions of the Russian Federation, which reduces the alertness of doctors. The age characteristics of diseases that are most characteristic of young children, the risk of the development of which increases significantly during travel, are described. Modern ideas are given about the possibilities and schemes of vaccine -prevention "diseases of travelers", chemoprophylaxis, as well as methods of non -specific prevention. The appendix gives recommendations that can be used by doctors in advising parents on preparation for the upcoming journey, presenting pediatric doses of drugs for the treatment and chemopophylaxis of malaria are presented.
