The publication of international anatomical terminology (Rome, 1998) largely predetermined the appearance of the textbook "Topographic anatomy and operational surgery" for students of medical, pediatric, medical, preventive and military faculties of medical higher educational institutions. It included in full important new terms and concepts that were not in the previous textbooks, for which it was necessary to radically process the book and make changes to all chapters.
The development of modern medicine, the emergence of new surgical and diagnostic methods (ultrasound diagnostics, computed tomography, etc) also determined the need and relevance of this publication.
The textbook is compiled in accordance with the curriculum for students of higher medical educational institutions.
For a better understanding of the material presented, the textbook is complemented by a large number of color schemes and drawings (more than 900), showing the layer of anatomical areas and stages of operations.
The textbook is intended for students of medical universities and medical faculties, as well as for doctors of various specialties
