Sergey Sergeyevich Yudin is a brilliant Soviet surgeon, a versatile talented person whom experts consider equal to Nikolai Ivanovich Pirogov.
In the fifties of the last century, Sergey Yudin often spoke: the most popular surgeon in the USSR at that time in the USSR, a surgeon of power: twice a laureate of the Stalin Prize, an academician, a member of the surgical associations of almost all European countries and the United States was suddenly arrested for espionage and on 10 years sent to Siberia. True, after the death of the “leader of the peoples”, in 1953 he was rehabilitated, returned to Moscow, worked again and operated on Sklif, but 11 months later died of a heart attack.
The manuscript of this book is not completed. It was conceived as sketches in the psychology of creativity, created in adverse conditions, and the sudden death of the scientist did not give him the opportunity to give this work not only textual, but also compositional completeness. The manuscript is separate fragments, thoughts, statements regarding the creative process in general and the work of a doctor and surgeon in particular
