The textbook was written by a team of employees of the Department of Medicine of Catastrophs of the Russian National Research Medical University named after N.I. Pirogov and the Russian University of Friendship of Peoples on the basis of the requirements of the approximate program of a professional module "Providing primary pre-medical care in case of emergency and extreme conditions", developed in accordance with the federal state educational standard in the specialty 34.02.01 "Nursing".
The book consists of two sections.
In the first section "Fundamentals of Resuscitation", the issues of the provision of primary pre-medical medical care in emergency and extreme conditions are considered.
In the second section "Disaster Medicine", the organizational foundations of disaster medicine and modern data on the organization of medical and sanitary support in emergency situations are presented.
The publication is intended for students of medical schools and colleges studying the following disciplines (interdisciplinary courses): "Medicine Disaster", "Fundamentals of Resuscitology", "Emergency medical care at the prehospital stage".
Textbook materials can be used by teachers of these disciplines for the preparation of educational materials.
