The monograph is devoted to the study of the age -related characteristics of the presynaptic, return, unrealistic and reciprocal inhibition of the human spinal cord. New data is generalized on the formation of structures and functions of the spinal cord, peripheral nervous system, skeletal muscles in pre- and postnatal ontogenesis. Modern information about presynaptic, return, unrealistic and reciprocal braking in the central nervous system is presented. Original methodological techniques adapted by authors to study various types of inhibition in the human spinal cord are set out. The age stages of the formation and formation of different types of spinal braking in humans are described, the age -related features of the flow of brake processes in the implementation of arbitrary motor activity are analyzed.
