The textbook is devoted to the presentation of the history of the appearance and development of clinical medicine from its origin to the present day. The theoretical course contains nine main chapters corresponding to nine sections of a modern program for teaching an subject in medical universities in Russia. The authors emphasized the achievements of scientific medicine of the XIX - XXI centuries. In the preparation of the publication, the practical and scientific experience of the faculty of the Department of the Humanities of the First MGMU named after I.M Sechenov (Sechenov University).
To facilitate the perception, understanding and memorization of various aspects of the history of medicine, the text of the textbook is complemented by more than 800 drawings, schemes and tables. The material is set out sequentially, logically, in an accessible form.
Information is systematized, corresponds to the modern level of development of science and clinical practice.
