The book of famous English pediatricians summarizes the experience of the largest clinics in the UK and presents the observation and treatment schemes for newborn and infants used in this country. The book contains basic information on the pathology of children of the first year of life. Much attention is paid to issues of medical ethics and deontology, perinatal psychology, and contacts of the children (including in tragic situations) In domestic literature, these aspects of neonatology have not yet been reflected.
Given the differences in the pediatric schools of Russia and Great Britain, the editors considered it appropriate to supply the book with comments and links to domestic methods and leadership.
