Issues of intraoperative preservation of the integrity and functional activity of the perishable glands during surgical interventions remain relevant. The authors saw the path to achieving this goal in the deepening of knowledge of embryology options, surgical anatomy of the neck and mediastinum with the subsequent development of safe operations on thyroid and out -of -charge glands. In addition, the postoperative restoration of the function of parathyroid tissue sometimes requires a lot of time during which the patient transfers rather unpleasant sensations due to hypoparathyroidism. To prevent and treatment of temporary postoperative hypoparathyroidism, we have successfully used pre- and postoperative therapy with a mineral complex containing preparations of calcium, magnesium, vitamin D.
