The authors planned this book during an epidemic of Ebola’s fever in 2014–2016, and wrote it during the outbreak of Zik"s fever. In the process of work, they did not forget about the 2002 coronavirus epidemic, the outbreak of the 2009 H1N1 flu and the Mers-Coronavirus 2012. Finally, after all this, the world encountered pandemia Covid-19. And according to the assurances of the authors, the next pandemic will certainly come, and still and more. Most likely, we are waiting for a new influenza virus, no less deadly than the Spanish 1918–1919. Only this pandemic will unfold in a world where three times more people live, where there are international air transportation and there are third world megacities - powder barrels ready to explode. The book calls on to use the crisis caused by the Covid-19, as a lesson and the basis for preparing for future events, so that they do not take us by surprise
