The monograph discusses indications for surgical treatment, as well as an algorithm for preoperative examination in patients with pharmacoresistant focal epilepsy. Modern examinations used in the framework of pre -surgical preparation are considered in detail, various pathological substrates that cause pharmacoresistent seizures in children, the characteristics of a preoperative examination, depending on the nature of the pathological process that caused pharmacoresistant epilepsy. Much attention is paid to semiology of epileptic attacks in various age groups. An analysis of their own experience of surgical treatment of patients with pharmacoresistant focal epilepsy is given.
