Diseases of salivary glands are often found in the practice of dentists and maxillofacial surgeons, making up an average of 27-70% of all diseases of salivary glands and 3-7% of all dental diseases.
Methods of surgical treatment of diseases of the salivary glands are not fully represented in the scientific literature. We believe that this book can make up for this gap. It describes in detail the surgical anatomy of the parotid, lifting, sub -language and small salivary glands. The anatomical features are indicated that require special attention of the surgeon during surgical interventions. Briefly covered the basic methods for examining patients, requiring special equipment and accessible to a practical doctor. The main diseases of the salivary glands and their damage are considered, in the treatment of which surgical methods can be used. Systematized by the literature, as well as original author"s methods of surgical interventions on salivary glands and ducts in various diseases of the salivary glands: removal of parotid, lifting and hyoid salivary glands for inflammatory and tumor diseases, treatment of various forms of chronic sialadonitis, methods of removing salivary stone from salivary stone. Different salivary glands, surgery with purulent mumps, eliminating the stricture of the duct and salivary fistula, plastic of the outlet duct in case of damage to salivary glands and other operations. Complications that occur after surgical interventions on salivary glands, as well as methods of their prevention and treatment, are described.
