Over 30 years have passed since the first edition of the textbook "Surgical diseases" edited and authorship of Academician M.I. Cousin. During this time, he withstood four reprints, more than one generation of young doctors learned on it, and until now the book remains very popular.
In the fifth edition, the material of the textbook was processed and supplemented with new information about modern diagnostic methods, classifications and methods of treating surgical diseases, individual chapters are written again. In its preparation, the materials and recommendations of the latest Russian and international symposia were used, approved by world-class experts, in particular the new classification of TNM of the 8th review.
The textbook complies with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard and the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia No. 95 dated February 9, 2016 in the direction of preparation on 31.05.01 "Therapeutic business" (level of specialty) as part of its section "Faculty of Surgery".
