The book describes the current state of the problem of stroke and cerebrovascular diseases in children and adolescents, the accumulated experience of diagnosis and approaches to therapy for this pathology in various clinics. Particular attention is paid to the etiological factors leading to the damage to the vessels of the brain in pediatrics, which determines the approaches to therapy in the acute period, as well as evaluating the risks of relapse and secondary prevention. The presented experience of the first center in Russia for the treatment of cerebrovascular pathology in children allows us to evaluate the prevalence of children"s stroke in Russia, to standardize approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of strokes in children with the subsequent assessment of the most effective methods of therapy. The accumulated data show that it is more effective not a multidisciplinary approach when conducting patients with cerebrovascular pathology, but to create a team of specialists prepared for solving this problem.
