This book describes very unusual events in the history of medicine. It tells about the "Spanish" illness, which came to Russia in the fall of 1918, when it was already in the bloody cloud of civil war. Despite the fact that today, during the height of the coronavirus disease, only the lazy does not speak about the “Spanish”, nevertheless, this is nothing more than retelling of retelling, not based on archival documents. That is why the author wrote a book based only on the documents of the People’s Commissariat of Health of the Soviet Republic of 1918-1919, which gives it the nature of a reliable narrative.
