The author shows that oncology can be defeated without harm to the body. For this, a complex of drugs and methods for launching programs for apoptosis is proposed - self -destruction of sick cells. They can be realized through the achievement of oxidative and nitrosive stresses, from which cancer cells are electively dying. But tumor cells have a protection system that muffles apoptosis. The task is to disarm their protection and cut off the "path to retreat." For this, two -phase tactics of tumor suppression are proposed, when methods for suppressing the protection system are grouped in phase 1, and extreme conditions are created in phase 2, selective for cancer cells - then they are able to launch self -destruction mechanisms. For these purposes, a comprehensive program for combating cancer cells based on drugs from Vitauct has been developed
