This book is about how the gift of foresight and the genius of the organizer of our teacher, academician N.P. Bekhtereva, were embodied in the real results, concepts and theories of multidisciplinary science about the human brain, first in the human neurophysiology department at the Institute of Experimental Medicine, and then at the Institute of the Human of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Natalya Petrovna actively involved in her orbit of knowledge of the mechanisms of the life of the most complex and perfect object - the human brain, young researchers of various specialties: doctors, physiologists, biochemists, physicists, mathematicians, engineers. The developed and implemented multi-parametric neurophysiological and psychophysiological approaches provided a fundamentally new level of understanding of the multi-regional spatial organization of neurophysiological processes of the brain, as well as their informational-controling functions in the mechanisms of the organization of arbitrary movements, attention, emotions, memory, thinking, speech and creativity.
The book presents the facts and reflections on the dualism of psychological equivalents of mental reflection and physiological and biochemical markers of the brain mechanisms of its provision. The developed methodology, approaches and methods for the first time in the world have discovered the possibility of directly using the results of fundamental studies to create new methods of treating severe chronic diseases of the central nervous system in adults, non-invasive methods of diagnosis and rehabilitation of children with a delay in neuropsychic and speech development.
