The publication sets out fundamental foundations, modern experimental and clinical data regarding the physiology and pathophysiology of the central nervous system in the context of anesthesia, acute severe brain damage, etiology, pathogenesis, clinic and hydrocephalous and pain syndromes are considered. Particular attention was paid to the A2-adrenoagonists and their place in anesthesiology and intensive care, the temperature balance of the body and methods for maintaining it, traumatic brain injury in children, substantiating the role of laboratory diagnostics, including prognostic biomarkers in intensive care.
