The textbook presents the theoretical foundations of radiation hygiene, the basics of radiation physics and the dosimetry of ionizing radiation, highlights the issues of radiobiology, the influence of different doses of radiation on the human body and on biota. The regulation of the radiation action on personnel, population and the environment, including the requirements for restricting medical radiation and radiation of the population with radiation accidents, has been considered.
