The monograph by E.V. Kosilova "Psychiatry: the experience of philosophical analysis" is devoted to the philosophical view of psychiatry as science and psychic disease as an object of this science and as a phenomenon, which has independent value. The book consists of two parts, in the first part of psychiatry is studied from the point of view of the philosophy of science, in the second part two nosological units of psychiatry are detailed in detail: schizophrenia and early children"s autism. Additionally, one of the border nosological forms is also considered: Haer Psychopathy.
The book has two applications. In one of them, the author analyzed a change in psychiatry for the period from 1975 to 2010 on the material of protected candidate dissertations. The second application serves as an illustration of hyperdiagnosis of schizophrenia, characteristic of modern psychiatry.
The book can be interesting to philosophers, psychiatrists, pathopsychologists and all those who want to understand the nature of man more deeply
