This training manual outlines modern ideas about traumatic brain injury with an emphasis on the identification and description of a variety of mental disorders found in the victims caused by brain injury. The most characteristic signs of leading clinical and psychopathological syndromes are given at different stages of restoration of mental activity after traumatic brain injury. Separately described the psycho -organic syndrome, affective pathology, as well as mental disorders in the structure of post -traumatic epilepsy associated with cerebral lesion.
Particular attention is paid to psychiatric aspects of assistance to patients, the choice of psychopharmacological, psychotherapeutic and rehabilitation strategies.
