The leadership sets out information on epidemiology, classification, etiology and pathogenesis of the premenstrual syndrome (PMS)-a condition characterized by the presence of mental, behavioral, physical symptoms, metabolic and endocrine disorders in the luteal phase of the menstrual cycle.
The prevalence of the PMS is extremely wide and depends on many factors, and the numerous symptoms of the PMS can largely affect the well -being of a woman, reducing working capacity, violating the quality of life of not only the woman herself, but also her environment.
PMS can bother the woman from the moment of menarge up to menopause, with a tendency to a more difficult course in late reproductive age. To facilitate the symptoms and reduce their severity, non -drug and drug treatment, the use of practices of traditional Chinese medicine, yoga and other influences that are considered in the book are necessary.
Particular attention is paid to risk factors, drug treatment of the syndrome, which, from the point of view of pathogenesis, is the most justified. The data on the study of the quality of life of women with PMS, modern methods for its evaluation are also presented.
