The presented work has been completed by specialists who have been involved in polypous rhinosinusitis in their scientific and clinical activities for many years. The recommendations are based on the personal experience of the authors, the scientific research of domestic and foreign scientists. The main provisions on this complex problem are stated briefly, but enough to understand the etiology and pathogenesis of this complex inflammation of the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity and the paranasal sinuses.
The work is focused on a practitioner. The presented classification - the phenotypes of polypous rhinosinusitis - has been tested in practice for many years and makes it possible for the attending physician to correctly evaluate the process, choose a treatment option and predict its result. The use of drugs based on monoclonal antibodies in the treatment of polypous rhinosinusitis is new. Not every phenotype of polypous rhinosinusitis is shown biological therapy, which is emphasized in the work. Recommendations can be of interest to allergists, immunologists, pulmonologists.
